Erik Jones Injury Update

After a horrifying crash at Talladega, Erik Jones is unfortunately injured but the 43 car will still run this time by one of Toyota’s top prospects, Cory Heim. Eric from Out Of The Groove is here to give us all the updates on this changing situation.

• Erik Jones had suffered a compression fracture in his lower back from hitting head on a wall at Talladega. Could we expect to see more changes coming to the cars after a wreck like this?
• After the crash, Erik Jones was checked into the infield care center but then released and he returned himself. Do you think that the infield care center needs to change their policies to ensure that they catch all injuries before a driver has a chance to do more damage or do you think the process is fine how it is?
• There’s no doubt that Cory Heim is one of the top prospects that Toyota has, but Dover is known for being one of the more challenging tracks even for Cup Series veterans. What are your expectations for Cory Heim this weekend?
