What’s Happening?
NASCAR YouTuber Eric Estepp made his national broadcast debut Friday night as part of the NASCAR Xfinity Series pre-race show on the CW, marking a full-circle moment for a long-time member of the NASCAR community.
Eric Estepp has worked to secure his spot in the NASCAR community for almost 14 years. He began on YouTube making stop-motion videos with 1:64-scale die-casts. While these videos were popular, Eric made real ground when he launched his NASCAR news series “Out of the Groove” in 2016.
Now, with over 251,000 subscribers and 164 million views, Estepp has made it to the top with a feature interview with Keith Barber, CEO and President of the East Tennessee Foundation.

ETF is a non-profit organization based in Knoxville that is assisting in the continuing cleanup and recovery from 2024’s Hurricane Helene, which ravaged the East Coast and into Appalachia. Estepp did a more detailed interview with Barber earlier this week during an episode of Out of the Groove.

His debut on national broadcast television is only the next step in Estepp’s unlikely career. This year alone, the fan turned NASCAR media staple has also sat down with drivers, media members, and even NASCAR President Steve O’Donnell on his channel.
