Earlier this week, we asked the Daily Downforce readers who they would put on their NASCAR Broadcasting Dream Team. Like always, the Daily Downforce readers gave their opinions, and they did not disappoint.

Earlier this week, we asked the Daily Downforce readers who they would put on their NASCAR Broadcasting Dream Team. Like always, the Daily Downforce readers gave their opinions, and they did not disappoint.

Fans had multiple different takes on this question. Some decided to talk about past NASCAR broadcasters, and some flat-out discussed past booths that had already been tried before.

Others elected to go further than just the booth. Some decided to include other positions including studio hosts, pit reporters, and even a grid walk. Here is what the fans had to say on the topic.

In the Stands

Max Heilek has an entire booth, pits, pre-race, studio, grid walk, and fan zone. Wow, that is quite an expansive list, and it is also quite an interesting broadcasting crew.

Kevin Moon says that he has already lived the dream NASCAR broadcast team. The NASCAR on ESPN broadcast crew was without a doubt one of the best with Benny Parsons, Bob Jenkins, and Ned Jarrett.

Quite the crew from Slammin it including the Waltrip brothers, Mike Joy, and Phil Parsons. Talk about some personality on a broadcasting crew.

Rick Glaser has representation of multiple generations amongst this broadcast crew. Carl Edwards represented the most recent, Ned Jarrett the early days of the sport, and Dale Jarrett represented the 1980s-early 2000s. Mike Joy, of course, to tie it all together.

Tyler breaks from a large part of the pack in terms of who gets the Play-by-Play gig by bringing in Adam Alexander. Alexander is gaining some popularity amongst the fans for his work as a Play-by-Play broadcaster.

IntensityBroadcasting wants to combine some older faces with some newer ones for the broadcast booth. Allen Bestwick, Darrell Waltrip, Krista Voda, and Matt Yocum return to combine with Dave Burns and Dale Earnhardt Jr.

Jay A. Wood wants to add one of our own to pit road. Eric Estepp gets his big chance to be a pit reporter, and that would be a bunch of fun. Wood also makes the post-race interview its’ own spot, with Marty Smith taking over that duty every week.

Darin LeBlanc wants to bring in a radio dream team with Dave Moody and Claire B Lang joining the crew. They add in the driver analysts of Clint Bowyer and Dale Jr. with Jamie Little joining, but no crew chief analyst.

Brock Beard adds to the conversation by discussing the importance of a PxP guy. He feels that once the Play by Play guy is gotten right, then everything else will fall into place.

aj is one of a few members who brought up Leigh Diffey as a PxP broadcaster. He does good work with IndyCar and IMSA at NBC. He has also done NASCAR before, famously calling the 2017 Pure Michigan 400 with Kyle Larson’s incredible final restart.

The NASCAR broadcast booth is one of the most vital pieces of the race experience for fans at home. Fans are very passionate about who they want to be in the booth or on the broadcast team. Who else could be a part of this team?

Kyle Busch’s Controversial Last Lap Move | Hamlin Defends Herbst | NASCAR Power Rankings!

Denny Hamlin defends Riley Herbst, Brad Keselowski is furious, and Kyle Busch leaves everyone debating what it means to truly compete for a Daytona 500. The final lap at Daytona International Speedway sparked multiple completely different controversies that say a lot about modern superspeedway racing.

  • Was Riley Herbst’s late block just another split-second Daytona gamble, or did he truly cost Keselowski a legitimate shot at the win?
  • Is Denny Hamlin right to defend his driver publicly, even while admitting the wreck was on Herbst?
  • Did Kyle Busch make a savvy veteran points play by bailing out of the draft on the white flag?
  • Does backing out of the lead pack signal frustration, maybe even a bigger-picture mindset shift?

At superspeedways, instinct rules everything. Herbst reacted late, Keselowski paid the price, and Hamlin backed his guy. Meanwhile, Busch lifted from 25th, avoided the wreck, and gained ten spots, a move that looks smart in hindsight but could have backfired badly. In a new points-heavy format, are drivers thinking differently? We break down both moments, what they really mean, and whether everyone involved might actually have a point. Plus, early Cup Series power rankings to wrap it up.
