What’s Happening?
The checkered flag is out in Darlington, South Carolina. There were a lot of questions going in as to whether or not a long winless streak would be snapped, and, indeed, it was. After falling behind early due to battery issues and a cool suit failure, Tyler Reddick snapped a massive winless streak of…two races. That’s right! Tyler Reddick conquered the Track Too Tough to Tame to collect his 12th career Cup Series victory and his fourth on the year, winning 4 of the first 6 races of the season.

Post-Race Report
- After the lead changed hands a couple of times early between Tyler Reddick and Kyle Larson, Brad Keselowski capitalized on a cycle of green-flag pit stops to assume the race lead late. Keselowski dominated to the end of the green and white checkered flag while 23XI faded. Bubba Wallace was caught up in an early race incident while Tyler Reddick was suffering from a cool suit failure.
- The second stage also belonged to Brad Keselowski, who led a bulk of it over his teammate Chris Buescher. In the closing laps of the second stage, Buescher’s No. 17 RFK Ford came to life as he chased down his teammate, Bad Brad. Though he wasn’t able to pass Keselowski for the stage win, it did appear that he had the car to beat late in the going in Darlington.
- A number of drivers were able to capitalize and earn massive stage points today. Today’s stage points earners were: Brad Keselowski (20), Tyler Reddick (15), Chris Buescher (14), Kyle Larson (14), Ryan Blaney (8), Chase Briscoe (7), Bubba Wallace (7), Austin Cindric (6), Ryan Preece (5), William Byron (5), Chase Elliott (3), Ty Gibbs (3), and Daniel Suarez (3).
- There were only two cautions for cause all race long, resulting in a fast-paced race. The first incident occurred on Lap 111. Denny Hamlin tagged Erik Jones from behind and sent him around. Checking up caused a stack-up on the high side, where Bubba Wallace plowed into the back of the No. 11. The 23 car, which ran in the top 5 for most of the first stage, never recovered. The second incident happened on Lap 197 when Connor Zilisch tagged Riley Herbst and spun him around.
- Despite battery issues and overcoming a cool suit failure, Tyler Reddick was able to bounce back late after Brad Keselowski dominated much of the race, leading a race high of 142 laps. Tyler Reddick collected his fourth win of the season, the fourth in only six starts this year. This is Reddick’s 12th career victory as he pads his massive points lead.
- Tyler Reddick clocks the Xfinity Fastest Lap, earning him 1 additional bonus point.
