What’s Happening?

Hendrick Motorsports Top Prospect Corey Day is in his first NASCAR season. The 19-year-old dirt racing prodigy is racing across multiple series in both NASCAR and ARCA. Here’s everything you need to know.

• Corey Day made his name known in major divisions of Sprint Car Racing. In 2024, the California native even won a race in Kyle Larson’s High Limit Racing Series.
• Last season, Day also made his ARCA and Truck Series debut with Hendrickcars.com sponsorship. The young driver put up a solid performance, scoring two top tens in the ARCA Menards Series and a best finish of 16th in the Truck Series.
• In January, earlier this season, Hendrick Motorsports announced that they had signed Day to race in multiple series in 2025. The press release from HMS heavily endorsed Day, with Rick Hendrick saying, “When Kyle Larson and Jeff Gordon say someone is the real deal, it certainly gets your attention.”
• As part of the transition to asphalt racing, Day will make select starts in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, and Trans-Am Series. In ARCA and Trucks, Day will race with Spire Motorsports, while in the Xfinity Series, Day will drive in-house at HMS in the No. 17.
