What’s Happening?
Connor Zilisch was released from the hospital after a scary incident that occurred in Victory Lane moments after his win at Watkins Glen. The young driver’s celebration took an unexpected turn when he slipped and fell, resulting in an injury that required immediate medical attention.
Thank you everybody for reaching out today. I’m out of the hospital and getting better already. Thankfully, CT scans for my head are clear, I just have a broken collarbone. Thankful for all the medics for quick attention and grateful it wasn’t any worse.❤️

- Zilisch was quickly transported to the infield care center and later moved to a hospital for further evaluation. He was conscious and communicative throughout the process. After his release, Zilisch took to X (formerly Twitter) to update fans, revealing that he sustained a broken collarbone in the fall.
- A broken collarbone, or clavicle fracture, typically requires 8 to 12 weeks of recovery. During this period, patients often undergo immobilization with a sling, followed by physical therapy to restore strength and mobility in the shoulder. Given the physical demands and high G-forces experienced during racing, a full and cautious recovery is essential before returning to competition.
- Trackhouse Racing announced it has withdrawn the No. 87, which was supposed to be driven by Zilisch, from Sunday’s Cup Series event.
