What’s Happening?

IndyCar and IMSA veteran Katherine Legge will return to NASCAR this weekend, racing with Live Fast Motorsports in the NASCAR Cup Series race at Watkins Glen International.

  • Legge made her NASCAR Cup Series debut last season after her many years racing in both the top divisions of open-wheel and sports car racing. Prior to this, Legge had raced in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, mostly on road courses.
  • After a controversial start to her Cup Series career, Legge found her groove late in the season with solid finishes for Live Fast. Legge scored a 19th in her third start of 2025 at Chicago and then her career best of 17th at Indianapolis Motor Speedway late last summer.
  • This weekend’s race kicks off a big month for Legge, who is set to enter the Indianapolis 500 with A. J. Foyt Racing. Legge missed last year’s 500, but has four career starts in the race to date, scoring a best finish of 22nd in her 2012 debut.
  • Legge joins team owner B.J. McLeod and Daniel Dye in shared driving duties of the No. 78 this season. So far, the team has made all three races they have entered, scoring their best finish so far, 24th, with Dye in their most recent outing at Talladega Superspeedway.
