What’s Happening?
YouTube star Cleetus McFarland and his frequent collaborator Squirrel McNutt are officially entered into this weekend’s ARCA Menards Series race at Kansas Speedway.

This race will be the first intermediate race for McNutt, whose real name is George Siciliano. It will also be the first race in the main ARCA Menards Series for a 33-year-old, as he has two starts in the ARCA Menards Series West to his name.
McFarland, who is in NASCAR’s record books as Garrett Mitchell, has a start on an intermediate in his past five starts in the main ARCA Menards Series, but has never raced at Kansas. In his intermediate debut, Mitchell finished a career-best ninth at Charlotte Motor Speedway last spring.
A start at Kansas for Siciliano is the next stepping stone in the two friends’ goal of racing together in the upcoming ARCA race at Talladega. While Mitchell is cleared to race at the track in both ARCA and Trucks, ARCA officials made Siciliano race at Hickory Motor Speedway and Rockingham Speedway before entering Kansas.
While a solid run in his first real ARCA start at Kansas stands in the way of these goals, many fans were surprised by Siciliano’s performance at the Rock last week. With just 193 laps at Hickory under his belt, the rookie managed a ninth-place finish at the track.
While they may get to race at Talladega together, Mitchell is coming off a tough week, as, after his first NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, the YouTube star was denied clearance by NASCAR to enter the OAP Series race at Talladega.
