What’s Happening?
NASCAR Cup Series regular Christopher Bell has added another NASCAR Xfinity Series race to his schedule. However, this will not be with Joe Gibbs Racing; rather, it will be with fellow Toyota team Sam Hunt Racing.

- Bell will drive SHR’s No. 24 at Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez in Mexico City, Mexico, on Jun. 14. This race will familiarize Bell with the road course, and more Cup Series regulars could enter the Xfinity Series race for the same reason.
- Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez is the newest circuit added to the NASCAR calendar for 2025. NASCAR will utilize a 14-turn 3.89 km (2.417-mile) layout, as opposed to the well-known 2.674-mile Grand Prix Circuit used by Formula One, which features 17 turns.
- At press time, this is the second and final race of Bell’s 2025 Xfinity Series schedule. He previously entered the No. 19 for JGR at Darlington, sitting on the pole but finishing 25th. Last season, Bell made two starts at New Hampshire and Darlington, and he won both races.
- Sam Hunt Racing currently fields two entries, one full-time and one part-time. Dean Thompson drives the team’s No. 26, while the team’s No. 24 has seen a rotating cast of drivers, including 23XI prospect Corey Heim, Toyota sim driver Ryan Truex, and Jeffrey Earnhardt.
