What’s Happening?
Chase Elliott, NASCAR’s most popular driver, and Hendrick Motorsports have filled a sponsorship hole for the 2025 season. In doing so, the two signed one of the world’s largest companies to cover the hood of their Chevrolet.
- Amazon Prime Video will sponsor Chase Elliott’s No. 9 on a deal lasting through 2027. The streaming service will appear on the Chevrolet three times each season.
- Prime Video is one of NASCAR’s newest TV partners. The channel will broadcast five NASCAR Cup Series races on its network this season along with practice and qualifying for the first half of the season.
- This deal seemingly replaces former HMS sponsor Hooters, who had a annual three-race deal with the team from 2017 to 2024. This deal fell apart mid-season, with Hooters missing payments to HMS. Ultimately, Coca-Cola replaced Hooter’s final spot on the No. 9 at Richmond, and HMS sued Hooters.
- Prime Video will sponsor the car in three select races before its exclusive Cup Series coverage of the Coca-Cola 600 on May 25. These races will be at Talladega on Apr. 27, Kansas on May 11, and the North Wilkesboro Speedway All-Star race on May 18.
- The brand joins NAPA, Llumar, and Unifirst as confirmed sponsors of the No. 9 in 2025.
