NASCAR Cup Series regular Chase Briscoe will make his long-awaited return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series this weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway, the driver announced.

  • This race will mark Briscoe’s first in the Craftsman Truck Series since 2021 and his first with Toyota in a winning truck. Briscoe will drive the No. 5 for TRICON Garage this weekend, which has had a rotating door of drivers this season, including Nick Leitz, Adam Andretti, and Corey Heim.
  • The Indiana native’s last race in the Truck Series came in 2023, when Briscoe, then a Ford driver, drove AM Racing’s No. 22 to a seventh-place finish on the dirt at Bristol. Briscoe is a two-time winner in the series, though he has not found victory lane in his five starts since his last win in 2018.
  • In his 29 career Truck Series starts, Briscoe has only made one start on the asphalt at Bristol, finishing 12th for Brad Keselowski in 2017. His other starts came on the dirt, with two top tens, including his aforementioned race in 2023.
  • This weekend, Briscoe joins a stacked list of drivers for the Truck Series race. In total, Briscoe adds a seventh Cup Series regular to the entry list, with Christopher Bell, Kyle Busch, Ross Chastain, Carson Hocevar, Ricky Stenhouse Jr, and Daniel Suarez racing as well.
