BetMGM 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway

No. 81 QuickTie Toyota GR Supra News and Notes:

  • SMITH AT CHARLOTTE: Chandler Smith has one prior NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) start at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS). He finished 13th in last year’s Memorial Day weekend race. He has two NASCAR CRAFTSMAN Truck Series (NCTS) starts at CMS, which both resulted in top-10 finishes.
  • DARLINGTON RECAP: Smith started the latest NXS race at Darlington Raceway in second after qualifying was rained out. The team struggled with balance for most of the race, but still collected stage points in Stages 1 and 2. On the second to last pit stop of the day, Smith left pit road with the gas can still attached, forcing him to come back down pit road. The 21-year-old still made up spots and finished 12th.
  • QUICKTIE: Quick Tie Products, Inc., (“QuickTie”) manufactures and distributes the QuickTie™ System, a proprietary, patented hold down system for high wind and seismic construction. The QuickTie™ System comprises wire rope cables with threaded rod studs swaged to each end, each with a steel bearing plate on the top end. Their cables are designed to cinch walls to their foundations from the uppermost top plates, thereby effectively resisting roof uplift and building overturning pressures. QuickTie also manufactures hangers, hold downs, plywood clips and all structural building components.
  • ON THE PITBOX: Crew Chief of the No. 81, JeffMeendering has visited Victory Lane 10 times as a NXS crew chief, most recently with Smith at Richmond in March 2024. His teams have collected 65 top-five finishes, 133 top-10 finishes, and 13 pole positions under his leadership.
  • JGR AT CHARLOTTE: Joe Gibbs Racing has 10 Xfinity Series wins at Charlotte Motor Speedway accompanied by 43 top-fives, 66 top-10s, seven poles, and 2,070 laps led. Mike Bliss, Kyle Busch, Joey Logano, Denny Hamlin, and Ty Gibbs have all piloted JGR cars to victory lane.
