What’s Happening?

NASCAR Cup Series driver Carson Hocevar is no longer listed as an entrant for this weekend’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

  • Spire initially listed Hocevar as the driver of the No. 77 truck on the series’ preliminary entry list for this weekend’s race. But, per an updated list from late Monday night, that entry is now listed as TBA.
  • There is no clear reason for Hocevar’s withdrawal or even potential withdrawal from this race. However, it is worth noting that he is still entered in this Sunday’s Coca-Cola 600.
  • Hocevar has made seven NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts for Spire this season in the No. 77. This means that so far, Hocevar has only missed one race, though he is not eligible to run for points.
  • While he is technically racing part-time with the team, Hocevar has excelled in most of his limited starts. This includes three top tens and a win through the early portion of the season.
