Brand South Africa and Alpha Prime Racing Join Forces for Special Race Weekend

What’s Happening?

For this weekend’s NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Atlanta’s EchoPark Speedway, Alpha Prime Racing’s Lavar Scott and sponsor Brand South Africa are working together both on and off the racetrack.

For a third straight season, Brand South Africa, the official marketing agency of South Africa, will make its mark as a primary sponsor for the annual NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series summer race at EchoPark Speedway.

Still, this year’s sponsorship goes beyond the track, as on Friday, prior to Saturday’s race, the brand will host a special event at Constellations in downtown Atlanta from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM.

The event, dubbed Accelerating to Africa: The Fast Lane to the Future of Global Commerce, will serve as a major networking event featuring leaders from across Atlanta, as well as the driver of the No. 45 Brand South Africa Chevrolet, Lavar Scott.

Scott is in his rookie season in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series and has become a fan favorite thanks to the reputation he built over the past few seasons in the ARCA Menards Series.

In a press release from Alpha Prime Racing, Team President Jusan Hamilton said, This program brings together international business, culture, food, travel, and motorsports in a way that creates meaningful business relationships while introducing new fans and partners to NASCAR. We are proud to have Lavar Scott and Alpha Prime Racing as a part of this program.”

Brand South Africa is not the only sponsor on Scott’s No. 45 this weekend, as Brooklyn Biltong joins the agency as a co-sponsor, hoping to educate race fans about biltong, a traditional South African meat snack.

Helping to bridge that gap between the racing world and the local food audience, the brand has also invited local food influencers to the track, The Food Stalker and Atlanta Food Guy.
