TRICON Garage will be heading to Lime Rock Park with a new face behind the wheel of its No. 1 entry. The team confirmed Friday that ARCA Menards Series standout Thomas Annunziata will pilot its No. 1 Toyota Tundra in the upcoming NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race on July 11.
The outing marks Annunziata’s second career Truck Series start and his first with TRICON Garage. He debuted in the series at Lime Rock last year with Spire Motorsports in the No. 7 Chevrolet Silverado, finishing 15th before securing his maiden ARCA Menards Series victory later that day.
That breakthrough win reinforced the 21-year-old’s credentials as one of NASCAR’s emerging road-course talents ahead of his return to the Connecticut circuit.
For the unversed, the New Jersey native has taken an once unconventional, now somewhat common, route through the racing ranks to NASCAR. After beginning in karting at age 10, he progressed through the Mazda MX-5 Cup and Trans-Am Series before moving into stock cars, earning a Trans-Am Young Guns championship along the way.
In addition to his second Truck start later next week, the Nitro Motorsports phenom has also made select NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series starts with a best finish of 17th at Chicago last year.
Tricon returns to Lime Rock as the defending winner of the Truck Series event after Heim dominated the inaugural race at the Connecticut circuit in 2025. With Heim set to focus on the upcoming Chicagoland weekend in the Cup Series, the team will look to build on last year’s success after placing three trucks inside the top 10 at Lime Rock.
For Annunziata, however, the race represents another opportunity to showcase his abilities against national-level competition.
