- A new report from Stefan Bartholomaeus of Speedcafe claims that Feeney could enter races with Kaulig Racing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series this season. However, this report claims that Feeney is “hoping to make his debut” and that a deal is not yet complete between the parties.
- In addition to this rumor about Feeney, Will Brown, who made his NASCAR debut with Richard Childress Racing last year at Sonoma, could enter the Cup Series race in Chicago with Kaulig. The Chicago Street race is notably where former Triple Eight driver Shane van Gisbergen won in his Cup Series debut.
- If Feeney were to debut, he would join the elite group of Supercars drivers in making their NASCAR debut since SVG’s win. Feeney was present for the Mar. 30 Cup Series race at Martinsville and posed with SVG in a picture for Instagram. Though they did so last season, Kaulig has yet to enter a part-time car in either series this season.
- SVG won three NASCAR Xfinity Series road course races with Kaulig last season before his promotion to the Cup Series. Notably, the races at Mexico City, Chicago, and Portland do not conflict with Feeney’s Supercar duties.
