Another NASCAR Chase Race Joins the 2027 Schedule

What’s Happening?

Martinsville Speedway will retain its spot as the penultimate race of the season in 2027 as part of its two race weekends in 2027, the track announced Tuesday.

  • As usual, the track will host both a spring and fall race date, with the spring race weekend taking place on April 17 and 18. The fall race will, like most dates on the 2027 schedule, be pushed back a week, with the race weekend lasting from November 5 to November 7.
  • Things will stay par for the course on what series will race when. The spring weekend will feature the O’Reilly Auto Parts and Cup Series, with the fall weekend featuring all three NASCAR National Series.
  • Of course, the track is not technically confirmed to be the next-to-last race of the season. Still, most are projecting that the season finale, which is likely to be held at Homestead-Miami Speedway again, will take place on the weekend of November 12 to November 14.
  • Martinsville is the latest track to announce its individual race dates for 2027. Earlier this season, the Daily Downforce started a tracker to keep up with the dates that were already announced. That story can be found via the link below.
