NASCAR returns to one of its classic road courses this weekend as the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts and Cup Series head to Sonoma Raceway. So, whether you are going to be at the track or home, what does the forecast look like for the race weekend in Sonoma, California?

• Sonoma Raceway is one of NASCAR’s longest-standing road courses on its schedule. The layout NASCAR uses at the track, formerly known as Sears Point Raceway, features 12 turns and sits at 2.520 miles.
• The Cup Series first took the track in 1989, and has only missed the COVID-canceled 2020 race since then. The OAP Series has the shortest history of the three NASCAR National Series at the track, first racing there in 2023.
• Though NASCAR may miss out on the green spring weather in the area, Sonoma has one of the best track records for weather on the schedule.
