- Davis, who last raced in the series with Roper Racing at the 2023 season finale, will return with TRICON Garage to drive the No. 5 truck. He has one prior start at Michigan, finishing 22nd for Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2018.
- Previously, the Georgia native made his name racing for his own team on a part-time basis in the series in 2020 and 2021. Prior to that, Davis impressed in his first five career starts with Kyle Busch Motorsports in 2018, scoring two top tens.
- Though he has not raced in NASCAR since 2023, Davis has not fully stepped away from motorsports. Last season, he won the CARS Tour Pro Late Model race at Hickory Motor Speedway. Furthermore, Davis has made three starts in the ASA STARS National Tour this season.
- So far this season, the No. 5 truck has seen a rotation of different drivers ranging from Truck veterans like Corey Heim to Rookies like Adam Andretti. The team has two top ten finishes and a win with Heim behind the wheel at Darlington.
