What’s Happening?

Radio communications from NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Natalie Decker are going viral in the NASCAR community after her tough outing at Dover Friday night.

Natalie Decker’s return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series has not been the smoothest of the many 2026 returns in the series.

In her two starts for Team Reaume, Decker scored 36th and 34th place finishes at Watkins Glen International and Dover Motor Speedway.

Friday night at Dover, Decker’s second start of the season was tough from the start, with a penalty for pulling out of line on the way to the green flag. Later on in the race, Decker was black-flagged for not meeting the minimum speed.

However, this was unfortunately not the biggest takeaway from the NASCAR community, as Decker’s radio communications leading up to the end of her day garnered hundreds of thousands of views on social media.

In this conversation with her team, Decker started off saying, “You guys, I’m trying my best to hold my shit together, but I don’t want to keep doing this.”

Decker’s rant continued by calling out the Truck Series officiating, saying:

“There’s just so many shitty things that I could say right now, and I’m just trying to keep it together about the fucking director of the series” — Natalie Decker.

As her team continued to encourage her to return to the garage and call it a day, Decker said she “would feel like a fucking failure if I do that.”

However, her closing comments from this exchange really caught the attention of NASCAR fans, as Decker said she would not return to the Truck Series, and instead, keep her focus on racing in the NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series.

“I’m not going to come back to the Truck Series. Derek can take it from here on out. I’m in the O’Reilly Series. This series fucking sucks.” — Natalie Decker

Decker Address Dover After the Race

Following this race, and the questions raised about her future in the Craftsman Truck Series, Decker took to her Facebook to reflect on her tough afternoon at the Monster Mile.

Decker not only looked back on her frustrations at Truck Series officiating, but also made mention that she will be getting back behind the wheel, saying, “I am going to push myself to get through this and control what I can control moving forward and show up to my next race with a smile on my face and fire in me to keep doing what I love.”

Of course, this did not address any plans in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, though the announcement of her deal with Team Reaume stated she would be in the No. 22 for select races, meaning it is unclear whether or not she has another start on her schedule with the team.

This season, Decker has made four starts in the lower two NASCAR National Series, the most she has made since giving birth to her first child last February.
