What’s Happening?

YouTube star Cleetus McFarland will tackle Talladega in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Niece Motorsports, bringing on a new diecast and sponsorship in tow.

The 2026 NASCAR season has been unpredictably good for Garrett Mitchell, who most know by his persona Cleetus McFarland.

After making just four ARCA Menards Series starts in 2025, Mitchell has entered the NASCAR National Series, making both his NASCAR Craftsman Truck and NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debuts this season.

His Truck Series debut came at Daytona International Speedway in February, where, just five laps into the race, Mitchell spun out and crashed his Niece Motorsports No. 4.

Since then, Mitchell has continued grinding out a NASCAR career, making his OAP Series debut at Rockingham Speedway last month with Richard Childress Racing and finishing second two weeks ago in the ARCA Menards Series race at Talladega.

Mitchell, who is only cleared to race at Superspeedways in the Truck Series but not the OAP Series, has continued to tease a return to the Truck Series and will do so later this year with Niece at Talladega on October 23.

This time, Mitchell’s No. 4 will carry sponsorship from Blues Hog, and, for the first time in his short NASCAR career, he will have an official Truck Series diecast released by Lionel.

The Truck Series Blues Hog diecast is available for pre-order in two scales, 1:64 and 1:24, and for sale on Lionel Racing and official Lionel sellers like Circle B Diecast.
