What’s Happening?

The entire NASCAR National Series is back together this weekend at Texas Motor Speedway after two weeks off for the NASCAR Craftsman Series. So, whether you are going to be at the track or home, what does the forecast look like for the race weekend in Fort Worth, Texas?

  • Texas Motor Speedway is the only NASCAR oval in the state of Texas. Since joining the schedule in 1997, TMS has served as a crucial stop on the schedule, hosting at times two races a year.
  • Since 1997, TMS has hosted a NASCAR Cup Series date, though that date has switched weekends in the past few seasons. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck and O’Reilly Auto Parts Series have hosted races at the track since 1997 and 1999, respectively.
  • With major changes this decade, including the loss of a points race and a second race weekend altogether, TMS now hosts one spring race date. Despite the unpredictability of spring weather, the track has had luck in its two solo spring race weekends thus far.
