What’s Happening?

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series veteran Tyler Ankrum will make his NASCAR O’Reilly Auto Parts Series debut this weekend at Talladega Superspeedway, seven years after making his National Series debut.

  • Ankrum will drive the No. 32 for Jordan Anderson Racing in his OAP Series debut. JAR has one win in its history in the OAP Series, though this came at Talladgea in 2023.
  • The 25-year-old made his NASCAR National Series debut in 2018 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Over the years, despite floating across teams in the series, Ankrum had yet to make a move to the OAP Series prior to now.
  • Ankrum, a two-time winner in the Truck Series, has just seven career Truck starts at Talladega, including three top ten finishes and a best finish of sixth last fall. He has never made a start at the track in another series, having just two career starts in the ARCA Menards Series.
  • So far this season, the No. 32 has seen a mixed bag as JAR’s “All-Star car.” Ankrum joins Jordan Anderson, Ross Chastain, Rajah Caruth, and Andrew Patterson in shared driving duties of the car, with Patterson as a fellow 2026 OAP Series debut.
