What’s Happening?
The NASCAR Cup Series has roared into its first off-weekend of the 2026 season, but not all racing was paused. The Craftsman Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, and O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Series took racing back to The ROCK with a weekend filled with short-track mayhem. Allen, Daniel, Amalee, and Dan break down the weekend.
Rockingham Race Weekend
Corey Heim wins again in the Craftsman Truck Series, making him the points leader, though he is not eligible for the Chase-offs. Cleetus McFarland (Garrett Mitchell) makes his O’Reilly’s debut after posting a career-best 4th-place finish in the ARCA Menards Series with his cameraman, LS George (George Siciliano), finishing 9th-place this past Saturday. The O’Reilly’s Auto Parts Series roared into action afterward with a thrilling 250-lap race. After his 4th-place finish, Cleetus could only muster up a 32nd-place finish after multiple single-car spins. William Sawalich holds off hard-charging JGR teammate Brandon Jones to win his first career O’Reilly’s race.
News and Trivia
NASCOURT was back in session with a slew of subpoenas requested by JGR for Joe Custer (Haas Factory Team owner), Justin Marks (Trackhouse Racing owner), Todd Meredith (Trackhouse Racing President of Racing Operations), Rick Ware (Rick Ware Racing owner), and Tommy Baldwin (Rick Ware Racing Competition Director). Are the curtains in front of the intel JGR has on the lawsuit about to be pulled back?
When an off-weekend arrives, that means it is time for Trivia hosted by Amalee. A slew of multiple-choice questions was thrown our way, and we gave it our best shot. From the current NASCAR to the Pioneer days, brush up on your history and see how you score compared to us!
Weekly Picks and Bristol Preview
The off-weekend is coming to a close, and all eyes turn to the Last Great Coliseum, Bristol Motor Speedway. The picks are in from the team, with Dan taking Kyle Larson, Amalee taking Christopher Bell, Allen taking Ty Gibbs, and Daniel taking Denny Hamlin. Short track racing is right around the corner, and just like the temperatures for Sunday, the anticipation is heating up.
