Following recent winter weather events in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, NASCAR is again changing plans for the upcoming CookOut clash at Bowman Gray Stadium, moving all scheduled events from Sunday to Monday.
NASCAR initially moved the entire two-day Cup Series event to Sunday, but is now shifting plans to Monday morning and afternoon following heavy snowfall in the area and freezing temperatures.

NASCAR cancelled Saturday’s four heat races on Thursday, but now, practice sessions on Monday morning will set the field for the clash. The top 20 from Practice make the main event, with the remaining 18 entries pushed to the Last Chance Qualifier on Monday afternoon.
The top two finishers in the LCQ will move to that evening’s feature race alongside the last remaining driver that scored the highest points finish during the 2025 season.

In a post on X shortly after the announcement, NASCAR Executive Ben Kennedy said:
“Nothing matters more than the safety of our fans, even when the weather doesn’t cooperate. We were ready to fight the weather, and appreciate the collaboration with Winston-Salem and NC officials to make the best decision. Our operations team is hard at work for a Monday race!”
