What’s Happening?
NASCAR Legend Dale Earnhardt Jr is once again asking fans to help build the soundtrack for iRacing Studio’s second NASCAR Console game, NASCAR 26.
Hey all the NASCAR 25 fans, starting to compile ideas for the next game's soundtrack. Last year your input was really helpful. Need to know what songs you'd love to see included.

Also (maybe more importantly) what is THE song you'd love to hear when you first load up?…
In November 2024, NASCAR Hall of Famer and Executive Director at iRacing, Dale Earnhardt Jr, asked NASCAR fans to give their wishlist of songs for NASCAR 25.
While Earnhardt was serving more of a representative role for the then-unreleased game, this proved to be his first real task in helping build out the feel of NASCAR 25.
The former Daytona 500 Champion even waxed poetically on his podcast, The Dale Jr Download, in the latter half of 2025, breaking down how much work he was putting into this job, even tasking Cup Series drivers like Bubba Wallace and Ryan Blaney for their suggestions.
When the new game came out last October, Earnhardt had clearly taken these suggestions to heart, with songs like Molly Hatchet’s Flirtin’ With Disaster, once used as the main theme for EA Sports’ NASCAR 98, along with many artists suggested by fans making an appearance in the game’s massive soundtrack.
Now, with NASCAR 25’s time as the face of NASCAR gaming rapidly coming to a close, Earnhardt is asking fans on X to once again throw out their suggestions.
Amongst the early suggestions are, once again, Magic Carpet Ride by Steppenwolf, Flirtin’ With Disaster (again), and the theme song from NASCAR 2005: Chase for the Cup, with some pointing to the last as a fitting tribute to the Chase format’s return as NASCAR’s championship system.
Now, very little is known about the next NASCAR game, with most assuming it will be a linear release, such as NASCAR 26, but it is worth pointing out that Earnhardt did not name any name for the game, instead using the phrase “next game.”
While there is no schedule for the release of NASCAR 26, let’s hope that he is somewhat behind schedule this time around, and that fans don’t have to wait a year for a new game, as they did last time he came looking for song suggestions.
