What’s Happening?
Despite saying he “thought I was done,” actor turned NASCAR Driver Frankie Muniz has confirmed he will return to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026 with Team Reaume.
I thought I was done.

I really did. Hung up the helmet, said “that’s a wrap” on racing… then realized I’ve still got way too much unfinished business on track.
So here’s the news I’ve been dying to share…
I’m coming back FULL TIME in 2026.

Muniz, known for his role in shows like Malcolm in the Middle, will once again drive the No. 33 for the newly rebranded Team Reaume (formerly Reaume Brothers Racing).
As of press time, he is the only driver announced for the three-truck team.
In his social media post announcing his return to the team, Muniz somewhat jokingly announced that he thought about retiring from racing.
Muniz said, “I thought I was done. I really did. Hung up the helmet, said ‘that’s a wrap’ on racing… then realized I’ve still got way too much unfinished business on track.”
This unfinished business also now includes a full-time effort in the SRO GT4 America series with TechSport Racing.
Whether he really intended to or not, had Muniz stepped away from racing, it would have marked the end of one of the sport’s most interesting sagas.
Muniz made his stock car racing debut in the ARCA Menards Series in 2023. In 2024, he stepped back his schedule, racing part-time in ARCA, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck, and the Xfinity Series.
Last season would be his first major break into NASCAR’s National Series, with Muniz racing full-time with RBR in the Truck Series.
Despite a top ten finish in the series opener at Daytona, Muniz’s momentum slowed early on, though; he consistently improved on his starting spot during races.
His rookie campaign came crashing down late in the season when he fell off a ladder at home, missing four of the series’ final seven races.
