Eric saw at New Hampshire a race that exceeded expectations, a track not known for consistently strong shows. He credited Goodyear’s tire package for creating real passing opportunities, pointing to Ryan Blaney methodically driving from seventh to the stage one win as an example of how the race rewarded skill and execution.
He emphasized that the first half was especially wild, with spins, contact, and even a failed retaliation attempt from Cody Ware, besides the contact that triggered a multi-car wreck. The aggression carried into the restarts, where two and three-wide battles kept the intensity high.
He noted that the second half was more straightforward, but the deserving drivers found their way to the front and settled things cleanly. That balance of chaos and control left Eric impressed with how the race played out from start to finish.
Eric’s Groovy Gauge landed at 80%, calling it a very good race by New Hampshire standards and proof that with the right tire, the Magic Mile can still deliver an entertaining show.
