The Cutline’s 2026 Race Weekend Rankings Tier List

What’s Happening?

The West Coast Swing is officially in the books. Denny Hamlin took home his first win of the season, at the same place he got his last win of 2025. It was an emotional win for Hamlin, who now claims sole possession of 10th on the all-time wins list. After his eventful off-season, it was a win many celebrated.

In the O’Reilly Auto Parts Series, Kyle Larson took home the win in the No. 88 JR Motorsports Chevrolet. He battled Jesse Love and Sheldon Creed, and held off Chase Briscoe to take the win.

Now, how was the racing as a whole? Where do the races stack up against each other? Let’s take a look at my Race Weekend Rankings and see where the Las Vegas Weekend ranks among the rest of the 2026 season!

Check out the latest episode of The Cutline, where Armany broke down the weekend at Las Vegas with Elly Productions.

The LiUNA: C-Tier

  • The O’Reilly race was nothing to scoff at. It was a solid race, with battles throughout the field. Briscoe worked his way from the front to the back to take home second, and there was plenty of battles up front to satify race fans.
  • It was a solid race, but nothing memorable. It’ll be one most fans will forget about within a few week.

Pennzoil 400 presented by Jiffy Lube: C-Tier

  • Similar to the O’Reilly race, the Cup Series race was a solid edition. Battles up front between Larson, Byron, Bell, and Hamlin going through the field were fun to watch. Like the O’Reilly race, it was fun, but nothing special.
