What’s Happening?
After a monumental couple of weeks with their driver, Shane van Gisbergen scoring back-to-back wins, Trackhouse Racing just announced a new executive hire. Todd Meredith has been hired by Trackhouse Racing to be their new President of Racing Operations. This was effective immediately. Meredith has been in the sport for a long time. He most notably worked for Joe Gibbs Racing for many years before becoming the organization’s COO in 2013. He resigned in 2016 but remained a consultant with the team through the rest of the year.
Since leaving JGR, it has been quiet for Meredith. But now, he’s back with one of the most innovative race teams in the NASCAR garage.
- Trackhouse Racing has made a lot of headway since joining the sport back in 2021. Initially, they were a one-car operation, with Daniel Suarez serving as their flagship driver in the No. 99 car. Since then, the team has purchased the remaining assets of Chip Ganassi Racing and is now a three-car powerhouse.
- Earlier in the month, it was announced that they would part ways with their former flagship driver, Daniel Suarez, at the end of the 2025 season. It was reported that the decision was mutual. Xfinity Series rookie, Connor Zilisch, is considered a frontrunner to replace Suarez.
- This is only the latest big move Justin Marks and the Trackhouse team has made. They’ve grown themselves into a respectable and competitive team. But it seems that they’d hit their ceiling. This could be the next appropriate step for Team Trackhouse to finally take that next step to be a contender week in and week out.
