Lavar Scott to Make Xfinity Series Debut at Dover

What’s Happening?

It was announced this afternoon by Alpha Prime Racing that ARCA Series regular, Lavar Scott, will make his Xfinity Series debut at Dover Motor Speedway. Scott will drive the team’s number 45 entry at the Monster Mile on July 19th. This is a big step as he is currently in his second full-time year as an ARCA Menards Series driver.

• Lavar Scott made his ARCA debut in 2023 at Daytona where he finished an impressive 4th place. He continued to impress as he followed that up with top 5s at Iowa, Indianapolis Raceway Park, and Kansas. He also scored at top 10 at Milwaukee in this part-time campaign.
• Starting in 2024, Lavar Scott went full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the number 6 Chevrolet for Rev Racing. Despite not earning a win that season, he did go on to score 11 top 5 finishes, including two runner-up finishes at Berlin and Elko, respectively.
• In 2024, he finished runner up in the points. Thus far in 2025, 9 top 10 finishes in 9 starts, 6 of those being top 5s. That is to say that the expectations will me moderately high for this young driver as he takes the next big step in his NASCAR career.
