What’s Happening?
While the NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series are down in Hampton, Georgia, taking on the newly named EchoPark Speedway, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series is up in the hills of Connecticut at the historic Lime Rock Park. We’ve got a jam-packed day of racing today, kicking off things with the Truck Series and ARCA Menards Series at Lime Rock ahead of the Cup race in Atlanta tonight. With all of that out of the way, there were several things to keep an eye out for today. Points leader Corey Heim claimed the pole with road course ringer Jordan Taylor starting alongside in the 7 truck for Spire. Did we have a repeat winner here today or did one of the underdogs break through and punch their Playoff ticket?
Without further ado, here’s everything that happened in the Truck Race at Lime Rock Park.

It’s Heim Time!
To start the final stage of the race, Layne Riggs got a great jump on Heim, taking the battle for the lead right to the driver of the number 11. However, Heim inevitably wrestled the lead away from him and expanded his lead to just over a second over Riggs. At the Craftsman 20 to Go, the two leaders were running near identical lap times. Connor Mosack worked his way up to third, Majeski to fourth, and Jordan Taylor slipped to fifth. At ten to go, it was more of the same with Chandler Smith, Kaden Honeycutt, Rajah Caruth, Thomas Annunziata, and Brent Crew rounding out the top 10.
At 11 to go, Matt Mills went off track and stalled. This triggered the third official caution of the day, the first for incident all day long. It was a caution that Corey Heim did not want to see. The race restarted with 5 laps to go. Layne Riggs tried to make a big move in the first corner, resulting in him overdriving it. Heim was through to the lead with Majeski behind him. Riggs fell all the way down to the 13th position. The move caused a stack up that sent many trucks off track and around, including Jordan Taylor, who had been running in the top 5 all race long.
The final three laps of the race were run without incident. Corey Heim scored his 5th win of the year in dominating fashion. The margin of victory was around 1.5 seconds over Majeski. This win also marks Heim’s third straight Truck road course win in a row. This is a new record.

Corey Heim Dominates Stage 1
Polesitter Corey Heim fired off strong, securing the lead to kick off the opening stage. Layne Riggs was through to 2nd, and Jordan Taylor settled into 3rd. The first stage went on without much incident. The only problem of note was when Spencer Boyd spun with around 20 laps to go. It took Boyd a minute to get his truck refired and, once he did, he had a flat right front tire. Several laps down already, he managed to limp his number 76 Chevy Silverado around to pit road. The incident did not trigger a caution.
Corey Heim went on to lead every lap of Stage 1 en route to his 13th stage win of 2025.

Heim Sweeps the Stages at Lime Rock
Layne Riggs got a better restart to start Stage 2 than Taylor did in the opening stage. Riggs was able to hang with Heim a little better before Heim narrowly cleared the 34, sliding across the nose of Riggs’ truck. As they ran, Heim started to separate himself from the rest of the field. At 20 to go in the stage, Heim led with Riggs, Taylor, and a charging Connor Mosack behind him.
That was how they ran to the end of the stage. Corey Heim went on to win, sweeping the stages and claiming his 14th stage victory of 2025. This also marked his fifth Stage 2 win in a row. During this stage, Heim posted the Xfinity Fastest Lap.
