NASCAR short track racing is in trouble!!! It is impossible to ignore at this point, in year 4 of the Next Gen car there is no hope with the future of short track racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. Bristol’s spring race being the latest of a long line of disappointing races at these tracks with these cars. So we are going to go through what I think is wrong, what can be done, and who can make any fix. Hear to hoping we see better short track racing in NASCAR moving forward…
- Is it really the track—or is it the car—when Bristol, Martinsville, Richmond, and even COTA all produce snoozers?
- If NASCAR scrapped the Next Gen entirely, what would you want in its place? More mechanical grip? Less parity?
