What’s Happening?
Following Sunday’s race at Bristol Motor Speedway, Daniel Suarez posted another angle of the close call that two of his crew members had on pit road.
After a race like today’s, this video puts everything into perspective! So glad none of my guys got hurt by that tire, especially Seth and Milan 😮💨 #nascar #pitstop #bristolmotorspeedway #foodcity500 pic.twitter.com/ZwSvt6L0rp

- The almost collision occurred during pit stops on lap 183 of yesterday’s race following Shane van Gisbergen’s incident with Cody Ware as the rear tire changer came around the back of the No. 99, and the fueler approached a tire came blistering into the No. 99 stall, slamming into the back of Suarez’s car.
- The tire, which came off the left side of John Hunter Nemechek’s Toyota, was a topic of conversation on TV during Sunday’s race. Despite the in-race coverage of this near miss, Suarez has since shared a new angle of the incident.
- This overhead angle shows just how fast and close the tire was to taking out crew members Seth Gajdorus and Milan Rudanovic. Like many others, Suarez was relieved to see his crew members unharmed by this loose tire.
- Unlike these two crew members, Suarez and Trackhouse Racing were not so lucky this weekend. Suarez and van Gisbergen finished 33rd and 38th, with the team’s only on-track highlight being Ross Chastain’s seventh-place finish after starting the race 35th.
