What’s Happening?

Justin Allgaier, a longtime Xfinity Series driver and veteran at JR Motorsports, will return to JRM through 2026. This extension comes while Allgaier attempts to battle out of the Xfinity Series Playoffs Round of Eight and into the Championship Four.

  • Justin Allgaier is a 14-year veteran in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. He first raced full-time at that level from 2009 to 2013 before returning in 2016. He first raced with JR Motorsports in that 2016 season. Since then, Allgaier has driven the No. 7 to victory lane 22 times.
  • A major factor in Allgaier’s long tenure at JRM, aside from his impressive stats, is his loyal sponsor, Brandt. According to Bob Pockrass of Fox Sports, who initially broke this story on X, Brandt is continuing its sponsorship with Allgaier through this extension.
  • Allgaier was once a top prospect for Team Penske from 2008 to 2010. He won the 2009 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year with the team. However, the rise of former JRM driver Brad Keselowski blocked his advancement to the next level.
  • Allgaier, a multi-time NASCAR Xfinity Series Most Popular Driver, is a fan-favorite driver at a fan-favorite team. Since joining JRM in 2016, Allgaier has seen drivers like William Byron, Josh Berry, and Tyler Reddick pass through the doors. However, he is still chasing his first NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship.
