Dramatic Day 1 Of Qualifying

Day one of Indy 500 qualifying was absolutely thrilling. The NASCAR world had its eyes on Kyle Larson, especially after he had an early engine issue and there was a buzzer-beater qualifying lap to cap off the day. Brake Hard is here to let you know everything that happened on day one of qualifying. 

• Kyle Larson started off his qualifying with a super fast two laps, but a power failure on the third, he was still able to make it into the Fast 12 with a P6 qualifying effort. Where do you think he will finish in the race?
• Multiple Chevys, including Kyle Larson, experienced power failures during qualifying. Is this something to worry about for the race?
• Early in qualifying Rinus Veekay hit the turn 3 wall and limped away from his destroyed car, a few hours later with a fully repaired car he put together a 4-lap average speed that got him into P11 and into the Fast 12 with only seven seconds remaining in qualifying. Is there a way for NASCAR to implement this kind of drama into their race weekend?
