What’s Happening?

As reported by Bob Pockrass of FOX Sports, Layne Riggs in the No. 38 Truck for Front Row Motorsports has been disqualified. The team will be scored last and given last-place points and prize money. The penalty in question is because the team failed to have its windshield fasteners tight for the entire duration of Saturday’s race.

You Need To Know:

  • Riggs will be the only team disqualified from the race despite other teams having windshield/rooftop issues.
  • NASCAR has confiscated the rooftop that flew off of Bayley Currey’s No. 41 truck and will follow up with the team later this week, per Bob Pockrass. Whether or not that team will be dished out a penalty of some sort remains to be seen.
  • Fans took to social media to point out that a lot of trucks during the race had suspicious-looking windshields, pointing at possibly more penalties to come.
