What’s Happening?

A pair of racing stars will drive in an ARCA Menards Series pre-race practice at Daytona International Speedway. SVG and former full-time IndyCar driver Marco Andretti will each participate in the practice. SVG was an expected entry as he will race in the ARCA season-opener, but Andretti is a bit surprising.

You Need to Know:

  • Andretti will drive for Cook Racing Technologies, who won the 2023 ARCA Menards West Series Championship. SVG will drive for Pinnacle, the same team he will be racing for in the ARCA season open at Daytona on February 17th. The practice will be from January 12th and 13th.
  • Andretti made three NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts in 2023, but, he has never driven at Daytona. SVG has never driven at Daytona either, but he will compete twice during Speedweeks, once in the Xfinity Series and once in ARCA.
  • Fans are interested to see how both drivers perform. Both drivers seem to have bigger stock car racing aspirations, and this is an opportunity for them to learn how to race on a superspeedway.
