Talladega Weather History
Talladega has had its’ fair share of weather issues during its time in NASCAR. Most recently, the fall race in 2021 was postponed to Monday, and it was called after 117 laps due to rain during the race. Bubba Wallace took the lead at the right time, and he took home his first career Cup Series win along with the first win for 23XI Racing.
Talladega also has no lights, which has caused some havoc when it comes to ending races at the track. In 2013, the Cup Series race was limited to just one green-white-checkered attempt thanks to rain delaying the race finish until around sunset. David Ragan took home the win, which was the first for Front Row Motorsports.
It looks like things will stay dry this weekend, but, that does not mean Talladega will be less exciting. Hopefully, no rain affects the race this upcoming weekend.
