What’s Happening?
Are you a collector of NASCAR diecast cars, especially the classic ones? Do we have a treat for you! Lionel Racing announced today that they are releasing a special diecast of Terry Labonte’s 1995 number 5 Dupont Chevrolet Silverado. You can preorder this beauty today from the Lionel website.
- 1995 saw the debut of the NASCAR Craftsman SuperTruck Series. A number of high-profile drivers owned and fielded trucks either full-time or part-time for the series’ inaugural season. Dale Earnhardt’s DEI filded the number 16 truck for Ron Hornaday. Richard Childress Racing fielded a truck, the familiar black number 3 for Mike Skinner. Even Hendrick Motorsports fielded a few. One of those was the number 5 shared between Terry Labonte and Roger Mears.
- Labonte started three races in the truck. He started in the season-opening race at Phoenix, where he finished 2nd. He went on to finish 3rd at the Hartland Park Topeka road course. This race-win diecast is in celebration of his third and final start of the season which resulted in a win at Richmond Raceway.
- The diecast is available for pre-order now. The estimated ship date is set for January 31, 2026.
Pre-orders are open for the No. 5 Terry Labonte 1995 Richmond Truck raced-win die-cast!
