AM Racing teased a “Major Announcement” for later this week, and it got many people thinking about who could drive for the team next year. They have already announced that they are looking at expanding to two cars in 2024. AM Racing has some interesting prospects that could be major players for this ride in 2024, so, who could be a candidate for the team in 2024?

Hailie Deegan

Hailie Deegan has made it no secret that she wants to move up to Xfinity next year, and AM Racing may be just the team she is looking for. They are a Ford team, and Deegan is a Ford driver. Deegan also brings significant funding alongside a large fan base.

AM Racing will get some major eyeballs on their car if Deegan is driving it. On top of that, it is a low-pressure situation for Deegan given that she could be racing for a brand new race team. It would get a lot of eyeballs, and it could give Deegan an interesting opportunity in the Xfinity Series.

Frankie Muniz

Frankie Muniz is another name that could bring a lot of eyeballs to AM Racing. Once again, Muniz is a Ford driver, which gives him some advantage in landing this ride. The biggest hurdle for Muniz is funding.

For a large portion of the season, he has used funding from Ford Performance despite having more sponsors early in the season. However, having Ford’s backing could be what helps Muniz. His performance has been solid in ARCA this year, could this be the time to jump up to Xfinity?

Brett Moffitt

Brett Moffitt has had an interesting career, and he has had a respectable season in the Xfinity Series this year for AM Racing. The issue may not be so much about AM Racing wanting Brett Moffitt, but does Moffitt want AM Racing?

Moffitt is a Craftsman Truck Series Champion, and he won the Truck Series race at Talladega last weekend. Does he want to stay with a team that is building, or does he want to go somewhere like Front Row Motorsports in the Truck Series to win races?

Rajah Caruth

Rajah Caruth is still without a ride for 2024 following GMS shutting down their Truck Series team. Caruth has run a few races in the Xfinity Series, so, why not go somewhere like AM Racing? They have performed well this season, and a second car being added in 2024 means they are committing to the future.

Caruth needs a good, stable situation, and AM Racing could provide that. However, does he have enough funding? That is the question as it always is heading into this time of year.

Brennan Poole

Brennan Poole has yet to announce his plans for 2024, and he does have a relationship with Ford as evidenced by his drives for Rick Ware Racing this year. His solid stint with Chip Ganassi Racing in 2016 and 2017 shows that Poole has talent, and maybe getting into some up-and-coming equipment could be what he needs.

Again, funding is what is going to win out for Poole. However, the talent is there, and this type of opportunity may be just what he needs.

The future for AM Racing is bright, and their next announcement should be a major one. Which of these drivers could be driving for the team in 2024?
