What’s Happening?

NASCAR veteran Stefan Parsons will make his debut with Spire Motorsports during this weekend’s NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series championship race.

  • This race will mark the 27-year-old’s eighth NASCAR National Series race this season and his sixth in the truck series this season. Thus far, Parsons, in his five Truck Series starts with Young’s Motorsports, has finished no higher than 12th, but no worse than 25th.
  • Parsons has raced at the NASCAR National Series level since 2018, making a majority of his starts in the Truck Series. Though he has yet to race full-time, Parsons had a career year in 11 starts last season with Henderson Motorsports, scoring a career-best finish of sixth and a career-best three top-ten finishes.
  • Parsons will drive the team’s No. 7 ‘All-Star’ Truck, which has seen 10 drivers, including Cup Series regulars like Kyle Busch, Carson Hocevar, and Justin Haley, alongside underdogs like J.J. Yeley, Patrick Emerling, and now Parsons, behind the wheel. So far, the truck has 12 top tens, eight top fives, and two wins.
  • This year, Spire started the season fielding four full-time Trucks: the All-Star No. 7 truck, the No. 71 driven by Rajah Caruth, the No. 77 driven by Andrés Pérez de Lara, and a new All-Star truck, the No. 07. However, the team cut back it’s program after Watkins Glen, releasing Pérez de Lara, ceasing operations of the No. 07, and moving it’s owners points to the No. 77, now driven by Corey LaJoie.
