What’s Happening?

NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team Niece Motorsports recently denied rumors of switching manufacturers for 2026, reaffirming that they are loyal to Chevrolet for “years to come.”

  • With the confirmation that Ram Trucks is joining the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series in 2026, the only mystery left is what teams and drivers will make the switch to NASCAR’s fourth OEM. One of the teams rumored to be in talks with Ram was Niece Motorsports, a three-truck operation that enters Chevrolets.
  • But in a statement from the team, Niece Motorsports “set the record straight,” clarifying that any rumors are “baseless and untrue.” The release went on to say, “We look forward to continuing our strength with GM and are proud to wear bowties for years to come.”
  • Among other teams, Niece first saw murmurs of a switch the weekend Ram Announced their return at Michigan International Speedway. That weekend, in a June 6 report, Adam Stern of Sports Business Journal claimed that Ram was “considering deals” with these teams.
  • Ram has yet to announce what drivers or even teams will be partnered with them next February at Daytona. The clock is ticking, however, and the accelerated timeline Ram is working on has nothing beyond a body style to show for it yet.
