What’s Happening?
This weekend, NASCAR will make their annual stop at Sonoma Raceway in Sonoma County, California. Historically, weather is not usually a factor during this race. This is at the area’s height dry season. In fact, it is one of very few tracks to never have a delay or postponement due to weather. That said, the weather, while sunny, looks rather mild heading into the fourth road course race of the regular season.
- One of the biggest things to note is that there is a 0% chance of precipitation almost all weekend long, as expected.
- Temperatures, by and large, seem to be in a comfortable range, being between 60 and 80 degrees throughout the weekend.
- Wind is not expected to be a factor, never exceeding over 6 MPH.

Recent Weather Events at Sonoma
As referenced earlier, the race at Sonoma is one of the few to never be impacted by inclement weather. While there has been rain in the area in the past, it’s a rare commodity as this time of year is the peak of their dry season. Favorably, it won’t be nearly as hot in Northern California this weekend as it was in Chicago last week. That’s a deviation from the norm in the area but a welcome one at that.
This article will be updated as more information is gathered throughout the week.
