Another major change to the 2025 NASCAR schedule was just announced. Just like the NBA, NASCAR now has a midseason tournament and Brake Hard is here to break it down.
- Last year, Denny Hamlin had a solution to make the midseason more entertaining, in this was the Denny Hamlin bracket challenge, a March madness style tournament for NASCAR. Next year NASCAR is going to make this midseason tournament official and give a $1 million prize. Do you think this is enough money?
- With 16 drivers all going head to head with one another at one race, it may be a little bit chaotic for the broadcast team to explain to the viewer, especially with a network that’s hosting its first NASCAR races in a very long time, like Amazon prime who’s gonna be hosting the qualifying races for this tournament. How do you think TNT and Amazon will handle this in-season tournament?
- With gambling being legal in North Carolina we’ve seen sportsbooks and NASCAR slowly start to work together, including entire races being named after Sportsbooks. Do you see a major Sportsbook come in and sponsor this whole thing?
How much should be the winning prize for this tournament? How many years do you think NASCAR will do this? Let Brake Hard know all of your thoughts and questions in the comment section.
