- Costner Motorsports is already active in the ARCA Menards Series, having entered their No. .93 car in six races over the past two seasons. But, for 2026, the team will carry their number into the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, where promotional material indicates they will field a Ford.
- As of press time, the team has yet to announce its schedule for the coming year. Though the team did not clarify whether they are full-time or part-time in their post announcing the launch of their Truck Series operation, Chris Knight of Catchfence reports the operation will be part-time.
- Last season, Costner made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series debut with Mike Harmon Racing, racing mostly on short tracks. In six starts in the No. 74, Costner finished no better than 22nd, and combined for an average finish of 30.5.
- Prior to this effort, the 32-year-old has been a consistent part-timer in the ARCA Menards Series, having made 13 starts in the main ARCA Series over the past three seasons. In 2024, Costner scored his best ARCA finish of ninth at Dover, and he has finished no better than 11th in his four starts since that race.
