- While the year did not go swimmingly for the newly renumbered No. 25 team, Burton locked AM into the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs and currently has the ninth-best average finish in the series. Nonetheless, this afternoon, Burton and the team announced they were calling it quits after this season.
- Though this was abrupt, the two are parting on good terms, with both statements praising one another and reflecting on the year. Furthermore, Burton and AM Racing stated that they will announce their 2026 plans at a later date, though it is unknown if the 24-year-old will return to the newly renamed O’Reilly Auto Parts Series in 2026.
- For AM, this move comes with the news that, upon the Haas Factory Team’s switch to Chevrolet, they are likely the top Ford team in the Xfinity Series. On the other hand, this is another shake-up for Burton in what has been a rollercoaster two years.
- The son of NASCAR legend and current NBC Sports analyst Jeff Burton, Harrison quickly rose to the top of NASCAR, starting with Joe Gibbs Racing and eventually transitioning to the Cup Series through the Ford camp. But, over three full-time seasons, the young driver failed to meet expectations.
- Burton joined AM Racing after losing his NASCAR Cup Series ride at Wood Brothers Racing at the conclusion of the 2024 season. Burton, a former winner in the Xfinity Series, seemed like a solid long-term option for the Ford team following a tumultuous 2024 season in which they prematurely parted ways with driver Hailie Deegan.
