What’s Happening?

Hendrick Motorsports made a signing for its long-term future on Thursday morning. Chevrolet’s top NASCAR team signed standout 19-year-old dirt racer Corey Day to race in multiple races in 2025.

  • Corey Day has been lighting the dirt racing world on fire lately, and Hendrick Motorsports is rewarding him with an opportunity.
  • Day will race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, CRAFTSMAN Truck Series, ARCA Menards Series, and Trans-Am Series in 2025. While there are no confirmed dates, Spire Motorsports announced he will drive their No. 7 in “select” races.
  • Last season, Day made his Stock Car Racing debut in the ARCA Menards Series with Pinnacle Racing Group and Craftsman Truck Series with McAnally-Hilgemann Racing. Day improved on his ARCA finishes throughout his three races and had a best finish of 16th in the Truck Series.

In 2024, Day finished fifth in High Limit Sprint Car Series Standings. In a press release from Hendrick Motorsports, team owner Rick Hendrick said. “When Kyle Larson and Jeff Gordon say someone is the real deal, it certainly gets your attention.”

HMS currently has one other known prospect in Rajah Caruth, who shares HendrickCars.com sponsorship with Day.
