Lamar Jackson Goes After Dale Jr.’s #8?

Lamar Jackson goes after Dale Jr.’s #8. There is more trouble in paradise as Dale Jr’s 8 is again under attack.  It may be a shock to some fans that it is not in any way involving Teresa Earnhardt but instead, it is Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson, who is also the number 8 athlete for his respective team and league in the NFL.  So I want to look at this and see if there are any legs to this dispute or if Jackson is reaching and the wide-reaching Junior Nation has nothing to worry about.  

• Do you think Lamar Jackson has a legitimate claim that fans could confuse his “Era 8” brand with Dale Jr.’s stylized NASCAR number?
•  Should athletes in different sports be able to trademark common numbers like 8?
• With the number stylized differently for each athlete, is there really any brand confusion here?
