Kris Wright Returns to Full-Time NASCAR Racing

What’s Happening?

Kris Wright will return to full-time action in 2026, racing in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Chevrolet’s McAnally–Hilgemann Racing.

  • Wright will pilot the team’s No. 81 truck with sponsorship from F.N.B. Corporation and Darren Fraley serving as Crew Chief. Connor Mosack drove the No. 91 in 2025; his plans for 2026 are unknown as of press time.
  • Last season was set to be Wright’s first full-time NASCAR National Series season racing Our Motorsports’ No. 5 in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Prior to this announcement, Wright had made sporadic starts across the Truck and Xfinity Series, alongside racing in ARCA.
  • Though Wright would enter the first 18 races of the season, scoring one top ten, the team would part ways with Wright ahead of the July race at Dover, which was ultimately the team’s final race before closing its doors.
  • Following his departure and the eventual closure of Our Motorsports, Wright would find part-time races, first in the ARCA Menards Series with Venturini Motorsports and then with MHR in their part-time No. 16 truck.
  • Wright is the second (technically) new driver to the team, as Christian Eckes will return to MHR after a year abroad in the Xfinity Series. Eckes will drive the No. 91, which was formerly driven by Jack Wood, who, much like Mosack, has yet to announce plans for the 2026 season.
